An exhibition of work by the documentary photographer

in collaboration with the people of Ghana, West Africa
at the Washington Gallery, Penarth, on Thursday 26th of July at 7.00pm.
Paul V Kelly’s remarkable, sensitive and celebratory images represent five years of work from West Africa, looking at aspects of HIV and AIDS health and education. www.pvkphotography.com.
‘No Negative – Just Positive’ is one of three documentary photography exhibitions by the photographer, on show at the same time in South Wales (see below for more details).

Presents three photographic documentaries examining the proactive work being done in West Africa with regards to two socially detrimental disease epidemics; the pre-biblical skin disorder Leprosy and the incurable HIV & AIDS virus.

The work will be divided into four exhibitions on show simultaneously throughout South Wales from the 16th of June until the 29th of July.

17th to 28th July 2007 (Open-air exhibition)
A series of images focusing on the education of West African youths about HIV & AIDS.
Millennium Walkway adjacent to the stadium and the river Taff, Cardiff.

‘Dying Disease’
21st to 29th July 2007
The oldest disease known to mankind is coming to its final stages of existence.
This is a photographic documentary from Ghana’s last Leprosarium (Leper Colony).
